Project Details
Nestled in the Sarawat Mountains lies "Green Valley Resort," a project embodying respect for nature. Our goal was to create a world-class tourist destination providing relaxation without compromising the region's fragile ecosystem.
Challenge: Building on Rugged Terrain
The site featured steep slopes and rare flora. The major challenge was constructing without removing ancient trees or altering natural water paths. This required lightweight construction techniques and local materials.
Engineering Solution
We designed detached hotel units (chalets) elevated on timber and steel stilts to minimize ground impact. Local stone excavated from the site was used for cladding to visually blend the buildings with the mountain.
Resort Features
- Eco-Integration: All buildings rely on natural ventilation and rainwater harvesting techniques.
- Facilities: Includes a spa overlooking the valley, hiking trails, and a restaurant serving organic food from local farms.
Social Impact
The project contributed to localized tourism in the Asir region and created over 200 jobs for the local community while preserving architectural heritage.
